Cross Creek Golf Club, in association with the Children's Hospital Foundation and the FUTURES Golf Tour, was proud to host the Children's Hospital FUTURES Golf Classic in the 2004 and 2005 season.
Since its founding in 1981, the FUTURES Golf Tour has continually strived to meet three primary goals; to allow professional women golfers to chase their dreams and improve their skills, for local communitites to meet and embrace the LPGA stars of tomorrow, and for the business community and corporate leaders to join forces with local charities to establish a proven fundraising vehicle. In 1999, the FUTURES Golf Tour became the "Official Developmental Tour of the LPGA", providing a direct route for its members to play on the best women's golf tour in the world. The Top 5 money winners on the FUTURES Money List earn their LPGA Tour Cards, and are fully exempt for the following LPGA Season. To date more than 180 FUTURES Alumnae have participated on the LPGA Tour, accounting for 244 victories and 27 major championships. Notable FUTURES Golf Tour alumnae include: major winner Karrie Webb, Lorena Ochoa, Kelli Kuehne, Laura Davies, and 2002 LPGA Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year, Beth Bauer. Since 1989, the FUTURES Golf Tour has raised more than $2.65 million for a variety of community based charities, and in 2004 and 2005 all proceeds went to the DC Children's Hospital Foundation.
Cross Creek Golf Club was extremely proud to be a supporter of the Children's Hospital and host course for the DC Children's Hospital FUTURES Golf Classic.
